So freakin' gross. Ugh! I am cringing as I write this.

Let this be known as my public service for the week. But just because I am committed to helping you with this dreaded return of the stink bug, I will offer what I have learned on how to keep them away.

An article on Wikihow.com mentions ways to keep them away, such as attracting their predators, which includes parasitic flies and wasps. Are they kidding? Yeah, get rid of stink bugs, but you'll have flies and wasps — Uh, no thanks. I think I'll move to somewhere that has no bugs, like the moon.

This same article also states that using a garlic spray of 2 cups water mixed with 4 teaspoons of garlic powder will keep them away. Stink bugs don't like the scent of garlic. I don't know why I found this so amusing, but you have to admit, this is funny. Stink bugs don't like garlic smell! Put this mixture in a spray bottle and spray around your windowsills and plants, etc. So, you won't have any stupid stink bugs around, but your house will smell like you are trying to repel vampires.

Thankfully, the article does mention that you can also repel these gross critters by using a mixture of 2 cups of water and 10 drops of mint oil (or 2 teaspoons of ground mint leaves) in a spray bottle and spray that around. This third choice seems like a much better idea.
