The home of the Sandy Hook Elementary shooter has been demolished.

The two-story house was torn down between Monday and Tuesday, as reported by the Danbury News Times. Plainville-based contractor Manafort Brothers volunteered to take the house down for free. They also made sure to create as little disturbance as possible to the neighborhood, only working when kids were in school.

Neighbors in the area were very supportive of the demolition, as they felt the house was a grim reminder and had become a spectacle. The land will be left open, so nature can reclaim the land.

On a personal note, I am happy they destroyed the house (thank you Manafort Brothers). It is not far from the house where I grew up, and I am just glad it's gone.

Nature can have the land.

On another personal note...these are the faces to remember.
