"Where were you when the world stopped turning?"

That was the question asked by Alan Jackson in his song that he wrote shortly after the 9/11 attacks. Now, here we are 16 years later and special memorial tributes will be happening again throughout Greater Danbury and Western New York.

16 years ago today everyone remembers exactly where they were and what they were doing when they heard about the attacks on our country in New York and Washington, D.C.

Many of us knew someone who was either at the World Trade Center that day, or lost their life on that tragic morning.

Today, as we mark the 16th anniversary of those tragic attacks, there are numerous 9/11 tributes happening throughout Greater Danbury and in Putnam and Dutchess Counties. Each year, we remember those that we lost that day, and those brave first-responders who risked their lives to try and save others.
