  • A controversial online auction involving a 9-11 memorial monument has a lot of people unhappy. The monument consists of steel beams salvaged from the World Trade Center's North Tower and an American flag. Numerous families of victims of the terror attacks believe auctioning the memorial is distasteful. It is located at the former headquarters of the Old Virginia Brick company in Salem, Virginia.
  • SMILE. It'll do you good. Today is "National Smile Power Day." Dr. Scott Bea with the Cleveland Clinic says a smile can change your mood and others around you. Bea says one study found even forcing a smile can decrease your stress levels. Smiling can also help lower your blood pressure. Let's hear it for "Smile Power!"
  • Time to play. Cambridge University in Britain has been offered a $3.9 million grant by the Lego Foundation to study the role of play in education. The foundation offered an additional $2.3 million grant for a Research Center on Play in Education, Development and Learning. No fooling, a "Lego professor" would be appointed director.
  • CNBC is reporting that CVS Health will pay $1.9 billion for Target's pharmacy and clinic businesses. CVS will buy close to 17-hundred Target pharmacies in 47 states and operate them as stores-within-stores.
