According to a press release from the Danbury PD, the city's Special Victims Unit is still searching for answers regarding an infant that was found abandoned near the Polla Supermarket located at 399 Main Street in Danbury Sunday (May 21).

Police say that they believe the male child was left behind the grocery store very shortly after being born. The baby was found wrapped in the clothes that pictured above.

Currently, they are extremely concerned for the well-being of the child's mother, as she may very-well need medical attention herself, and could possibly be a victim of a crime.
