‘A Christmas Carole’ Opens Friday Night in Newtown, CT

The tragedy at Sandy Hook, CT will always be a huge hole in our hearts. It's hard to believe that it has been four years since that horrible day that holiday decorations, festivities and parties came to a screeching halt and a town was thrown into incredible grief.

How do you go on after such an unspeakable loss? The people of Sandy Hook had to somehow find some way to heal, if not for themselves, but for their children.

Not long afterwards, a Connecticut surgeon came up with an idea that would be one way that the town could find some sort of healing. Dr. Michael Baroody founded NewArts, a youth theatre designed to help children rise above incredible tragedy and to help build life skills and confidence.

Tomorrow is the opening night of NewArts production of "A Christmas Carole" which runs through December 22nd.

The ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future will come alive on the stage of Walnutt Hill Church in Newtown, CT and more than 100 actors from 5 to 70 years-old are ready! Not only is this an amazing way to bring neighbors together during this holiday season, it is a way for the town to continue to heal.
