The carnival has come to New Fairfield and you still have some time to enjoy it.

Carnival. The word makes me smile, and makes my mouth water! Connecticut is chock full of tons of Summertime traditions.

One of those rolled into New Fairfield this week. The New Fairfield Lions Club Olde Tyme Carnival is underway. Located at the Consolidated School Field on 12 Gillotti Road in New Fairfield.

Admission is free. You can start enjoying all the famous carnival food when the food tent opens at 6 p.m. on Friday July 22 and Saturday July 23. Then you can scream your head off on the rides, or smile watching the kids go round and round. The ride attractions open at 6:30 p.m.

There's great music for you to get your groove on to, or work off some of that food you ate!

The Suits play on Friday night.

Split Decision play on Saturday night.

Speaking of playing. I've heard that the Olde Tyme Carnival is "crazy" with Pokemon characters, so you can get your Go on too.
