62-year-old Neil Hannequin of Danbury got an unpleasant surprise as he parked his car at his home this afternoon.

What he didn't know is that The Special Investigations Divisions had been keeping an eye on him for several weeks. Another thing he didn't know is that the Supreme court had issued search and seizure warrants in his name based on the evidence gathered against him. At about 2:00pm this afternoon (August 28), police arrested Hannequin after following through on those search warrants.

Police say that they seized drugs and cash that they believe to be from illegal drug sales. He was arrested and is being held on $25,000 bond for the following charges:

  • Possession of a controlled substance
  • Possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell
  • Possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell within 1500 feet of a prohibited place
  • Possession of a controlled substance within 1500 feet of a prohibited place
  • Possession of drug paraphenalia
