Most of us are excited that it's fall because our favorite TV shows are back. One show I like to talk about around the office is Nashville (2012-present), which airs Wednesdays 10pm on ABC. Some scenes are filmed in Nashville Tennessee including The Bluebird Cafe, a local restaurant where people can eat and watch acoustic performances

Nashville is about two female country singers rivals: Rayna Jaymes and Juliette Barnes. Connie Britton plays Rayna, a famous country singer and dedicated mother to her two daughters Maddie and Daphne. Rayna's record sales started to decline and her record label recommended her to go on tour with young country superstar Juliette, played by Hayden Panettierre. Juliette grew up in a dysfunctional family and is spoiled to get whatever she wants know matter what it takes or who it hurts. Recently, Nashville wrote in a real-life storyline of Juliette dealing with post-partum depression, which Hayden Panetierre is currently getting treated for.

My favorite character is Scarlet O'Connor (played by Australian actress Clare Bowen). She's shy, writes poetry and finds courage to sing with her musician friend/former co-worker/ex Gunner Scott (played by British actor Sam Palladio) who worked at The Bluebird Cafe. Her uncle, Deacon Claybourne (played by Charles "Chip" Esten) was Rayna's guitarist since the start of her career and on-again-off-again love interest.

Last year, Nashville aired a special called On the Record to show that their actors do sing the songs that air every episode. Singles can be downloaded on iTunes and then get released on an album about twice a season. Famous singers and country songwriters contribute composing the songs for the characters to sing; Lee Brice, John Paul White and Joy Williams (The Civil Wars), Brandy Clark, Kacey Musgraves, Elvis Costello, Ashley Monroe, Brett Eldredge,  Dustin Lynch, Deanna Carter, and J.D. Souther.  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nashville_discography

This week's episode literally ended with a cliffhanger! Next episode airs November 11th, a week after the CMAs.

If you watch Nashville or will start to after reading this, let me know what you think!
