It's been a staple for ballroom dance lovers in Danbury for over 37 years and now, the Arthur Murray Dance Studio will re-open under new ownership.

The studio moved to their current location on Main Street back in 2000, and now they're getting ready for another milestone, as they get set for their grand re-opening this Thursday (September 27).

The grand re-opening event will happen from 5:00 - 7:00 pm at the studio, 345 Main Street in Danbury, and will offer food, drinks, and performances by studio instructors and students. New owner Andy Cabell told patch.com:

I love to dance and invite everyone to join me… dancing and celebrating our 40th anniversary. Hopefully you'll all return.

The owner also says that they've decided to take the floor with a bunch of local charitable organizations as a way to give back to the community that they've been serving for all of these years. Both a Better Chance in Ridgefield and Habitat for Humanity will be are already among the the organizations that Arthur Murray plans to work with, and they're always successful "Dancing with Our Stars" recently raised $30,000 for Hillside Food Outreach.

The dance academy offers classes for all ages and styles, from ballroom and Latin dancing to hip hop.
