  • Looking for a job? Bass Pro Shops is planning a job fair next month to find staff for their new store in Bridgeport.The job fair is being held August 17th through the 19th at Klein Auditorium on Fairfield Avenue. Bass Pro Shops is set to open this fall.
  • Hold up on playing that flash-based game and videos. Mozilla has blocked Flash from running on the Firefox browser, saying it has known security issues and is a risk to users.You can get around the block, after reading a security warning and acknowledging the risk to their computer. Google's Chrome browsers also blocked old versions of the software. The ban is supposedly temporary, with Flash creator Adobe saying they are working on a fix.
  • Toyota is recalling about 625-thousand hybrids because of a software problem. Toyota says the glitch could shut down the hybrid system while the car is being driven. The recall of certain Prius minivans covers vehicles built between 2010 and 2014. 120-thousand of the vehicles were sold in North America. As of now, Toyota says there are no reports of any crashes or injuries because of the software problem.
  • Who didn't want to journey to this toy store after seeing the Tom Hanks movie "Big"? FAO Schwarz is closing its iconic New York City store today. Parent company Toys "R" Us says the Fifth Avenue location is closing because rent is too expensive. FAO Schwarz moved to its current location in 1986. The highly-popular flagship store will look for another location in the city.
