If you haven't seen Grease Live! yet, I would recommend checking it out. I thought it was really impressive! From the sets to the choreography it was pretty amazing, but there were other seriously impressive parts to the show too.

There is so much that goes in to producing a show like this. The actors have to know all their lines and steps. The sets have to work the right way and, for this production, the actors had to run between sets with only the time that commercial breaks take. Crazy stuff!

The camera work on Grease Live! was amazing. It had to be done right the first time and the behind the scenes of the camera work is seriously impressive.

The behind the scenes people are sometimes forgotten, because, well, they're behind the scenes. However, if it wasn't for them the show wouldn't have made it on the air.

They are the ones who create the special effects for scenes like the racing scene to make it look like the cars are actually driving fast. They take care of the costumes, like Marty's layered costumes to make the changes easy and possible even with the camera on her. They are also the ones who make sure the cameras are where they are supposed to be throughout the show.

If you want to see how much work goes into making sure camera positions are right, check out the video below. This popped up on my news feed and it's impressive to watch. It was posted by the associate director, Carrie Havel, and it's been shared a bunch of times. I can see why.

Oh and this is for the "Greased Lightning" number. one song.
