All through History mythology has warned us to beware of the black cat. It's even suppose to be bad luck if one crosses your path. Well we're here to put those myths to rest with Bert and Ernie, our featured Pet's of the Week.

Bert and Ernie are two domestic long hair kittens, and are about nine to ten weeks old. They're sweet little babies and their ready for that first forever home. They have been totally vetted and have already been neutered, so now all they need is you to stop by the Animal Welfare Society and check them out. You can adopt them both, or take just one, either way you can't go wrong with these little balls of fluff.

Here's your chance to get up close and personal with both Bert and Ernie:

For more information on Bert and Ernie and all the other adoptable Dogs and Cats, call the Animal Welfare Society at (860) 354-1350 or visit them on Dodd Road in New Milford.

They’re open Tuesday from 11 AM to 7 PM, and Wednesday through Saturday from 11 AM to 2 PM.

Keep in mind the Animal Welfare Society is undergoing construction to serve you and the animals better, so just them call before you go.
