The Bethel Police department is looking to the public in hopes to identify the man who reportedly robbed a gas station on Greenwood Ave.

At around 10:00 PM last night (August 31), officers responded to the report of a robbery at the Gulf station at 280 Greenwood Avenue, right next to the Sycamore. By the time police arrived, the suspect pictured above had fled the scene with the cash that he had forcibly taken from the gas station attendant. A press release from the Bethel PD says that no weapons were involved.

While the responding officers were investigating the robbery, the Bethel Police Department received another report that a man was trying to break into a vehicle nearby. Police believe that the two incidents are related.

Anyone who may recognize the suspect in the photo is asked to contact the Bethel Police Department Detective Bureau immediately at 203-744-7900.
