You may remember the post that I wrote about Barry Solomon, the Veterinary Technician from Bethel. Barry was handed some devastating news about 2 months ago. Barry has leukemia.

I'm sure that you can imagine that the past eight weeks have not been easy. He's been dealing with doctors, treatments, side effects and trying to shield his 10 year old son from the scary parts. Barry has also been dealing with not being able to do what he loves, caring for animals. He has become such an intrical part of Bethel Veterinary Hospital that clients ask for him by name. It's very hard for him to stay away, and sometimes he just can't and will sneak in for a few hours just to be around everything that he loves.

A GofundMe page was set up for Barry which raised over $20,000 in less than two days! Two days! That tells you a lot about his character and how much he is loved.

Dr. Jim McNamara, owner of Bethel Veterinary Hospital and a close friend of mine, told me that it took Barry a while to muster up the courage to look at the posts and well wishes on the page. Imagine that! He hits cancer full force but had to pull it all together to read how much he is loved.

He wrote a letter to everyone who has been in his corner and I would like to share it with you.
