As I drive by local university campuses I think about those days in college where every night was a reason to have some beers!

According to Fox CT, a study reveals that binge drinking cost the U.S. economy $249 billion in 2010, according to a the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. If you were to split it up per beer, it would round out to $2 per beer.

Those pesky hangovers in the workplace cost the country up to around $77 billion in lost productivity, while another $29 billion goes to treating for drinking related health problems and rehabilitation.

So what is considered to be "binge drinking"?  The study said binge drinking counts as at least five drinks for men, and four for women.

Hey, we all have a rough week and need to blow off some steam once and awhile, but just be cheap about it, that's my take!
