  • The "Blue Lives Matter" nationwide campaign has arrived in Connecticut via a billboard on I91 at Exit 34 in Hartford. The message reveals how police put their lives on the line every day to protect the community. The digital board also says THANKUBLU.

 

  • The Connecticut Supreme Court is not going to reconsider its decision eliminating the death penalty in the state. The decision came after one of the 11 men on the CT's death row challenged the prospective death penalty ban passed by the Legislature in 2012.

 

  • Somehow they have to cover the costs of all the original programs, and here's how. Netflix is raising the price of its most popular streaming service by one-dollar a month at $9.99. The price hike will only affect new customers for now. The company said existing customers will get grace periods of various times before their prices also go up.

 

  • Convenience at your fingertips. Apple says Starbucks, KFC and Chili's will support Apple's touchless payment service next year. Jennifer Bailey the head of Apple Pay said Starbucks will introduce a pilot program for the tap-and-pay service before the year is out.
