Got talent? Do you live in the Brewster area? Then get ready for the third annual Brewster's Got Talent event happening January 20 at the Brewster High School Performing Arts Center.

According to Southeast Patch, 19 performances will grace the stage, as an array of singers, bands, musicians and dancers have all signed up to showcase their talents. Brewster's Got Talent is welcoming students from CV Starr, JFK Elementary, Wells, Brewster High School, and also Brewster Schools staff and faculty and parents and alumni.

To keep things fair and square, the competition has organized three categories -- pre-high school, high school and adult. The winners in each category will receive a $250 prize, and the one act named the overall winner will earn the top prize of $500.

Proceeds from Brewster's Got Talent will go to the Brewster Education Foundation, they provide scholarships and funding for special programs in Brewster Schools.

Contestants to watch:

  • Kristen Huttunen is returning with her eye on the top spot in the Adult Division.
  • Last year's overall winner, Martina Rossi, will be back trying to repeat, but she'll have some stiff competition from 2015's overall winner Annie Sullivan.

Tickets are only $15 and can be purchased by clicking on the bar below or at La Strada Pizzeria on North Brewster Road.
