Two Broadway actors who live in Ridgefield have big plans to add a professional theater company to the community.

A recent article at ctpost.com says the company is called A Contemporary Theater or ACT. Broadway actors, Daniel C. Levine and Katie Diamond decided that the one thing missing in Ridgefield is a professional equity contract theater company and they're sure they can make it happen. World famous composer/lyricist, Stephen Schwartz, who also resides in town would love to pitch-in.

Levine's credits on Broadway and Broadway National Tours include: Mamma Mia, Little Shop of Horrors, Jesus Christ Superstar, Les Miserables, and the list goes on for pages.

Katie Diamond has been seen on Broadway in Jersey Boys, White Christmas, and The Wedding Banquet. Diamond is the Executive Producer for ACT, while Levine will handle the Artistic Director responsibilities.

Currently ACT has secured the auditorium space at the Phillip Johnson designed Schlumberger-Doll Research Center which has moved its headquarters to Cambridge Massachusetts. The town of Ridgefield is now leasing the 45 acre property. The company has lined up the rights to its first production in 2018 but can't make it public until they get closer to production.
