I really wish I took the trip down to Charlotte this weekend for the Coca Cola 600, because it would have been quite a reason to party on Memorial Day Weekend!

Yes, this weekend was gorgeous here in KICKS Country, but I had the idea of maybe flying down to NC for the weekend for the race, but never did. Coulda, woulda, shoulda!

Carl Edwards ended up taking home the win at Charlotte on Sunday which ended his 31 race win less streak. According to CBS Sports, Carl's last win took place at the Food City 500 in Bristol in 2014 after a rain shortened race.

This weekend's Coca Cola 600 was also Edward's first win since joining a new team this season, Joe Gibbs Racing

After the race, CBS caught up with Edwards:

I've been stressed, I'm so competitive, and I'm not happy with how we've performed and the results we've had. I feel like this is a gift. This is truly a gift.

The rest of the race's results include Greg Biffle in his Ford, Dale Jr, Matt Kenseth, and Martin Truex Jr rounding out the top 5, reported by NASCAR.

After two exciting weeks in one of my favorite cities in the country, AND the home of NASCAR: Charlotte, North Carolina, racing will continue next weekend at Dover!
