2016 Oscar Predictions: The ScreenCrush Staff Picks the Winners
Ready for the Oscars this Sunday? Need help winning your Oscar pool? The ScreenCrush staff — Editor-in-Chief Mike Sampson, Managing Editor Matt Singer and Senior Editor Erin Whitney — are here to help, or at least try their best anyway. They’ve seen all the movies (yes, even those documentary shorts!) and have come back with a definitive list of who will win at the 2016 Oscars. Normally these lists might have a lot of disparity, but strangely this year’s panel of experts largely agrees on the winners. That could mean good things for you and your office pool. Follow these selections to Oscar glory and bring home all the spoils. Or, come back on Monday morning to yell at them for they gave you really bad advice.

Zack Snyder recently revealed that he sought and received Christopher Nolan’s blessing for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (though it really sounded like Nolan just didn’t care), but he wasn’t the only one looking for approval for the upcoming superhero epic. Ben Affleck says that he also went to his Batman predecessors — not for their blessing, but for some helpful Bat-tips.

Back in June of last year, Harrison Ford was injured on the set of Star Wars: The Force Awakens when the door of the Millennium Falcon fell, dislocating his ankle and breaking his leg in two places. The production was put on hold for six months while Ford recuperated and director J.J. Abrams would later say of the incident, “Once we knew that Harrison was going to be okay, we all realized this was this greatest gift to the movie.” Abrams, and his bosses at Lucasfilm and Disney, may be disagreeing with that sentiment today as officials in London have brought four criminal charges against the Star Wars: The Force Awakens production company.

Try to Find Dory in These New ‘Finding Dory’ Posters
While we wait for another trailer for Pixar’s long-awaited Finding Nemo sequel, these new Finding Dory posters are taking a bit of a clever approach by asking you to find Dory — though the simple-minded little fish isn’t so good at hiding. The four posters feature the tagline “Have you seen her?,” calling to mind the kind of missing pet posters you might see around your neighborhood. Maybe Pixar should put Dory’s face on a milk carton. (They can pay me for that idea later.)
