Chappaqua Resident Could be NY AG Eric Schneiderman’s Replacement
New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman, New York’s top law enforcement official had exited Monday following allegations of violence against women. This on the heels of his strong support of the #metoo movement. Many names have been bandied about as far as his replacement.
Here are some of those names:
- Preet Bharara
- Zephyr Teachout
- Letitia James
- Michael Gianaris
- Kathleen Rice
- And…wait for it… (drumroll please) one Chappaqua, New York resident, Hillary Clinton according to Bustle
To date according to Newsday the New York State legislature, will appoint a new attorney general, but is giving no clue as to who it will be. It seems like Hillary would be the dark horse in the race because of the fact that she’s been a “lightning rod” for controversy especially recently. The state solicitor general Barbara Underwood, has temporarily replaced Schneiderman and word has it that there is a good chance she will end up being his permanent replacement.
