Cole Swindell Surprises Fan by Facetiming Dustin Lynch During Concert [Watch]
A Cole Swindell fan in a Dustin Lynch T-shirt got quite a shock when the “You Should Be Here” singer brought him on stage Sunday night. The special moment is something few in the audience had ever seen another singer do.
Swindell was singing “Ain’t Worth the Whiskey” when he dialed up Lynch on his iPhone because he saw a young man sporting the “Mind Reader” on his chest. Video shows that Swindell walks right to the man, and he more or less freaks out. Zachary is the guy’s name, and when he’s on stage with Lynch, he jumps up and down like he was in front of 20,000 people.
After gesturing to Lynch, and (presumably) ending the FaceTime, Zachary and Swindell hug and the singer explains that “That right there is why I do what I do.”
“I never thought I’d make it this far but getting a chance to do things like that are what make it worth it,” he adds before finishing his No. 1 hit from 2014.
"You Should Be Here" is Swindell's latest single. It's a moving ballad that was inspired by his father's death in 2013. The music video features his dad's voice, and at the end he and his family visit his father's grave.
Sunday's show at Dillinger's in Americus, Ga. was Swindell's last show of 2015. He's yet to announce his 2016 tour plans.
