The Boy Scouts are no longer.

For the very first time, the Boy Scouts have inducted 100 girls into their organization. On February 1, wtnh.com. reported that boys and girls, men and women all came together in Hartford's capitol building inside the House of Representatives to make history.

Back in November of 2018, wtnh.com reported that the Girl Scouts of America filed a trademark infringement lawsuit against the Boy Scouts of America for dropping the word "boy" from its name to attract girls. The Boy Scouts are now just the "Scouts." The Girl Scouts will keep their name and will continue to operate as a girls-only organization. Meredyth Waters is one of the 100 girls who has joined up with the boys in The Scouts and told wtnh.com.,

The girls have always been in the background but now we're going to be hands-on with them. We're going to be camping with them, even in the tents, even when it's too cold to be in tents.

Am I missing something here? Do the Girl Scouts not offer camping and hiking in the great outdoors as part of their program. Why haven't both the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts meshed together to form just the one organization? To recap, we now have "The Scouts" which is a scouting organization for both boys and girls. The Girl Scouts still live on which is for girls only. Why can't the boys have an scouting program for just boys only?
