Had no idea about this- but Connecticut is big on horses. So much so that the horse industry employs around 28,000 people and is a $3.5 million industry. Wow! We are getting real country here in CT!

That's why Governor Malloy signed in some legislation today- "Act Concerning The Liability of Owners and Keepers of Domesticated Horses, Ponies, Donkeys, and Mules". Basically, he just signed in some stuff saying horses are lovable, awesome animals, and not vicious and mean (which the supreme court tried to rule a little while ago so that horse owners would have to pay LOADS of money).

Honestly- too much politics there. But hey, that's the world we live in. I have fond memories of horseback riding lessons in Connecticut and I'm sure a lot of other people do too.

And horses in Connecticut are here to stay-out of all of the New England States, we have the fastest growing horse industry.

And just to show how much we love horses, Happy Trails Farm in Danbury celebrated National Cowboy Day this past Saturday by riding 45 horses down Main Street in Danbury and then partying it up afterwards with their equine friends.

See their celebratory pictures below!
