No matter who you are, every resident in the State of Connecticut has a beef with the unpopular local property tax on motor vehicles.

The main problem besides it being another tax, is the fact that the same car could cost someone much more just based on where they live.

According to the CT Post, it looks like major changes could be coming to these taxes in 2016. Gov. Dannel Molly's two-year $40 million budget could possibly lower some of these taxes on cars.

This change is said to
lower the tax bills on many cities and towns in the state, but not all of them. These changes would take place starting
July 1, 2016 putting a cap on motor vehicle taxes.

CT Post then goes into the whole mil rate discussion from town to town within the state, which is too confusing for me to get into here.  Long story short, I don't believe a thing this state government says, so we'll see what happens.
