  • More issues at the CT DMV. The Department of Motor Vehicles is shutting down four license centers because of massive lines at other agency offices. Staff from the licensing centers are being transferred to full service offices that are swamped with customers. Connecticut has granted extensions until October tenth to anyone whose license or registration expired after August eleventh.
  • WALLETHUB.COM  places Connecticut among the safest states in the nation. WalletHub's study takes into account factors that include the number of deadly crashes, occupational injuries and weather related property loss. Connecticut is seventh on the list, led by safe roads, homes and communities. Massachusetts is listed as the nation's safest state, with Mississippi last.
  • More sad news from the 9-11 terrorist attacks. Her picture is iconic.The woman photographed covered in dust as she ran from the collapsing World Trade Center on September 11th has died. Marcy Borders passed away Monday night after a battle with cancer at age 42. Borders was working at Bank of America on the 81st floor of the north tower when a plane struck a few stories above. She rushed down to street level as a second plane hit the south tower.
  • Some will call it a "happy day". Amazon is delivering alcohol through its Prime Now service. It's a first forthem. Amazon announcedyesterday that delivery of beer, wine and spirits is available to people signed up for the 99-dollar a year Prime Now membership.
