  • The federal government says Connecticut is the first state to end chronic homelessness of veterans. Officials made the announcement yesterday, saying all veterans in CT have housing or are on the path to finding permanent housing.
  • iPhone users should mark their calendars for Sept. 9. That's when Apple is expected to unveil the latest incarnations of its smartphone, the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6 Plus S. Apple sent a cryptic invitation to journalists for a Sept. 9 event in San Francisco that with the message "Hey Siri, give us a hint."
  • I was on Facebook Monday - were you? We helped the social network reach a milestone! Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg says that on Monday over 1 billion people used Facebook, marking the first time so many people have logged in on a single day. Zuckerberg pointed out that means one in seven people on Earth were using Facebook Monday.
  • Beside using Facebook - Americans have an addiction to email. A new study from Adobe put the obsession into numbers. Adobe found people spend as much as 30 hours-per-week sending and receiving email. Outside of work, 70-percent say they check email while watching TV and more than 40 percent admit to taking care of email correspondence while in the bathroom. Half of the people surveyed check for messages while laying in bed.
