Well the time has come where residents in Greater Danbury, and CT as a whole, won't need to drive to neighboring New York State to buy liquor after 9PM.

According to The News-Times, the new law that says liquor stores can stay open until 10PM went into effect on July 1. This law says that establishments can stay open one hour later Monday through Saturday.

For Sunday, liquor stores can continue to remain open until 6PM.

This law also says that owners of these liquor stores can now own up to five locations, up from just three in prior rules, reported by the News-Times.

Obviously with all these changes, the state of CT will hopefully earn more tax money in the long run.  I always end up driving to Patterson NY to buy beer all the time after 9PM, so hopefully I can get my butt to a local package store in CT before 10PM!
