Nick Fradiani’s win on Wednesday night’s “American Idol” moves the 29 year-old singer, with ties to Milford, West Haven, East Haven and Guilford– into this season’s Top 4.

According to ctnews.com, moving into the top five last week assured Nick of a spot on this summer’s American Idol tour, though no Connecticut stops have been announced. They even had the traditional final four parade in Nick's hometown of Guilford on Friday afternoon.

Nick is the first Idol contestant from Connecticut to ever make it this far in the competition.

Nick recieved praise from all Idol judges including Harry Connick Jr., Keith Urban  and Jennifer Lopez on Wednesday night after singing “Bright Lights” by Matchbox Twenty–a song that all three judges agreed was perfect for him.
