Maybe you've never heard of Wayne J. Keeley, but that could all change real soon. For the past 25 years, he has been working on a film that could elevate him to super-stardom. Now, he may finally get his moment.

Formerly Known as Kissy Cousins, Monster Babies and Morphing Elvis, the film Emmy Award-winning director, writer and producer from Danbury, Wayne J. Keeley, is ready for its premiere under the title, The History of Everything Circa 1993 to the Present. It's quite fitting that it will be featured first at the Bethel Cinema as part of their weekly Film Fest52.

Now, over the years the movie has taken on many forms and has had many different titles. The first version of the movie earned critical acclaim at film festivals, but was never distributed.

According to newstimes.com, the original script was written back in 1992, having been inspired by the book, Jurassic Park, however after three distributors turned down the film the project was shelved. Funny how that ended up, huh?

Fast forward to August of 2017, Keeley starts the process of updating his film, and shoots scenes in Danbury at Western Connecticut State University. During shooting at WCSU, where Keeley is a professor in the communications department, he commented to newstimes.com about finishing this long time labor of love:

It was a real sort of mind-bend, I still can’t believe it, because it took 25 years to make.

Now we are just days away from seeing the movie that has been 25 years in the making. The world premiere is Wednesday at 7 pm at Bethel Cinema. A red-carpet reception will take place at 6 pm, with a cast/crew Q&A following the screening.
