Danbury Mayor Mark Boughton, in conjunction with Energize Connecticut, has announced another light bulb swap on Saturday, May 20.

My wife has been doing it for years now -- replacing the old lights in our house with energy efficient LED bulbs. Now, in order to help you reduce the amount of energy you use in your home, the folks at Eversource are offering Danbury residents free energy efficient light bulbs at the swap that's happening on Saturday May 20 from 10 am until 2 pm at City Hall in Danbury.

You can exchange up to five incandescent light bulbs, in any working order, for an equal number of long lasting, energy saving LED bulbs, and best of all, it's a free service.

Just keep in mind you must bring your old bulbs and proof of Danbury residence to receive your 5 free light bulbs. All LED bulbs are equivalent to a 60-watt incandescent bulb. Additional energy saving lighting products will also be available at the swap at discounted rates.

Plus, Eversource reps will be there, and will have information on how you can make your home more energy efficient all year long.
