Danbury just keeps on kickin' butt, ranking fourth in the state for business formation in 2016.

According to ctpost.com, data provided by Connecticut Data Collaborative says that Danbury only trails Stamford, Bridgeport, and Greenwich when it comes to starting up a new business in Connecticut. Since his first term as Mayor in November of 2001, Mark Boughton's priorities for the City of Danbury have been attracting small and medium-sized businesses, and they just keep on coming.

Ask Pat Kovac and Paul Henques about their new Robeks franchise that opened in July of 2015 at 109 Federal Road. They told ctpost.com that working with the City of Danbury through the zoning and rules and regulations process was not the huge headache they thought it would be.

Hotel Zero Degrees opened last month on Danbury's West Side, and according to Hotel Zero's CEO, Randy Salvatore, the dealings with the various city departments led to quick construction.

Unlike many other Connecticut cities, Danbury's population has grown 8% since 2000, and because the overall population is so diverse, it makes it a prime location for new small and medium-sized businesses. Stephen Bull, the President of The Greater Danbury Chamber of Commerce told the ctpost.com:

Danbury is becoming the hub of innovation in the state.
