In addition to the two previous arrests since Friday (July 1), the Danbury Police Department has continued their initiative to eliminate the lewd, public, sexual activity that has clearly become an issue at Farrington Woods Park located at 127 Mill Plain Rd. in Danbury.

Today, (July 4) at about 1:40 PM, the Danbury Community Conditions Unit saw 40-year-old Rafael Neto of South Salem, NY, and 24-year-old Danbury resident, Henry Joyner, pull into the Farrington Woods parking lot, and head down a path into the woods.

An officer proceeded to follow the two men down the trail, and in the process, observed Neto and Joyner engaging in sexual activity in a clearing in the woods. Both Rafael Neto and Henry Joyner were arrested, charged with public indecency, and held on $500 bonds.

At the time of the arrest, the Community Conditions Unit was conducting surveillance in Farrington Woods Park based on several recent complaints that casual park goers have been solicited for sex acts by males in the park’s parking lot. Aside from the solicitations, others have stated that they have seen numerous adult males engaged in various sexual activities both in the woods and in the parking lot area.
