Danbury Police Stop Crack Dealing at a Mill Plain Road Hotel

Crack is one of the most dangerous, potent, and addictive narcotics on the planet. Thanks to the Danbury Police Department, a little bit more of the freebase form of cocaine is off of the streets.

According to a press release, both the Danbury Special Investigations Unit (SID) and Community Conditions Unit (CCU) were issued search and seizure warrants yesterday (August 24) for 30-year-old Aderito "Derrek" Mota and a hotel room located at 89 Mill Plain Rd. The warrants were court issued based on tips that Mota was selling drugs from the hotel room, and police say that surveillance of the area proved to be consistent with those claims.

By about 3:30 yesterday afternoon, Danbury's SID and CCU executed the warrants, as Mota was said to be inside the hotel room along with 24-year-old Alexis Paige Brown of Danbury and an unnamed third party. The police say that Both "Derrek" Mota and Brown were arrested after they were found to be in possession of crack cocaine package for sale, and charged accordingly. "Derrek" Mota was held on a $25,000 cash bond, while Alexis Brown was held on $10,000.
