Dr Mitch Prywes established the Center for Pain Rehabilitation in 1990 and has been a member of the medical staff at Danbury Hospital for over 25 years. But now he's not only practicing medicine but trying his hand at stand up comedy.

Dr. Prywes, recently performed at the Ridgefield Playhouse as part of Christine O'Leary's Comedy Workshop. He was drawn to the workshop in part because of his love of comedy. Now he's taking that experience to the next level and appears Friday night as part of a night of comedy at The Palace Theater in Danbury.

I have know Dr. Mitch for many years and on numerous occasions our conversations have turned to comedy and routines by legendary comics like Robert Klein, Billy Crystal and even scenes from Seinfeld. I can tell you I was not totally shocked when he told me he was going to do stand up, but I was a little surprised however when I saw his name on the bill for a night of comedy at The Palace Theater.  I immediately called him and had to get him on the air with me.
