Diet Pepsi No Longer Using Aspartame

Well after years of negative publicity over sodas using the artificial sweetener aspartame, Diet Pepsi has changed formulas.

According to CNBC, the New York based cola giant has changed the artificial sweetener that's included in the diet soda. Diet Coke and Diet Dr Pepper are two other brands that have already changed their formulas in the past.

Analysts say that sales of Diet Pepsi have dropped over the past few years, blaming it on the public's perception of the artificial sugar product. The new Diet cola will have Splenda included in the formula.

The Purchase, NY based company says they hope for a sales bump on their diet line after this change is made.
