Sam Alex has always been a big fan of country music -- he's worked for country stations across the nation and never misses his favorite acts when they come to town. He's been on red carpets for many different awards shows and interviewed some of your favorite celebrities, like Will Ferrell and Taylor Swift. Originally from the Chicago area, Sam now lives in Nashville, where he hosts the Taste of Country Nights radio show. If you ever see him on lower Broadway, get him a pina colada and some BB
Connecticut native with Midwestern roots, Boston educated and Brooklyn socialized. I like to think my personality is like Baskin-Robbins: 31 Flavors of awesomeness! I enjoy country music because I like anything that combines strong women with strong whiskey. Taylor Swift is the leading lady in my heart. Nothing makes me happier than seeing a woman make a dime off a little heartbreak.
Wow, I can’t believe it ... I’ve been waking up Greater Danbury and New York for almost 25 years, and each morning I invite you to wake up “In the Country” with me on KICKS 105.5. I grew up on Long Island went to college at St. John’s University, and worked in radio on “The Island” for almost 10 years before making the big move to Danbury in 1989. I have three great kids and the best wife ever. I will actually be riding her coat tails into heaven someday
So you want to know about me, huh? Well, I've lived here in Greater Danbury all my life, born and raised baby! I got into radio because I always liked music and loved helping my pops fix his Wurlitzer jukeboxes when I was really little. Okay, I'm a big radio nerd, who's kidding who here! Over the past decade I've worked in various parts of the radio station, but programming is by far my favorite and most fun. I also DJ at lots of local events and bars throughout the year so you might recognize me from outside the radio station
