Mr. Morning and I have some pretty deep conversations, let me tell you. From science to absolutely nothing. But there is one topic that we are both quite passionate about, that we were talking about this morning. Animals. Especially animals that need homes. As you know, Mr. Morning has a new Pet of the Week every Monday morning at 7:15 from the New Milford Animal Welfare Society. These pets are amazing and most get adopted because of the awareness he provides. It's something that KICKS 105.5 does that makes us so happy and proud to be a part of.

He was telling me about one dog in particular that has not been adopted yet. Halo was featured on Mr. Morning's show a few weeks ago but still does not have a home. Halo is only 2 years old. She is beautiful and sweet. So why hasn't she been adopted? Halo only has 3 legs.

Halo is a Lab mix who came to the New Milford Animal Shelter from a high kill shelter. She had tested positive for heartworm and had a nasty wound on one of her legs. That wound infected the bone and had to be amputated. She has had the best Veterinary care and is in good health now. You can see by the video that having one less leg doesn't stop her in the least.

Mr. Morning and I wanted to feature her again because we know that there is someone out there who can give her the forever home that she deserves. If it's you, or if you know someone who would love to give this very special dog the love she is looking for, please contact The New Milford Animal Welfare Society.
