With Halloween almost here drivers are urged to stay "scary safe" behind the wheel.

There's a new Public Service Announcement out that reminds drivers to be extra careful this Halloween and stay "Scary Safe".

According to fox61.com, The Connecticut Police Chiefs Association and the state Department of Transportation released a 30-second PSA geared towards reminding people to be extra cautious when driving on Halloween night.

Various costumed characters appear during the announcement, warning motorists to be aware of the increased number of children on the streets, and to not speed through neighborhoods or to drink and drive.

Drivers also need to remember not to drink and drive. Extra police will be out patrolling the roads to make sure your driving "Scary Safe".
