A couple of guys from Brooklyn had their day ruined when they were recently pulled over on the Taconic by a New York State Trooper.

I'll just state some common sense rules when you're allegedly transporting 25 pounds of weed in your vehicle on the Taconic State Parkway. First of all, you should drive the speed limit and try very hard not to commit any traffic violations in the process. The second rule is to never fire up a log-sized doober as you're allegedly transporting 25 pounds of pot.

That's reportedly exactly what happened to Tony Wu and Richard Haung when they were pulled over by troopers on the Taconic, according to a press release from the New York State Police. Troopers say they discovered 25 pounds of marijuana, which were neatly packed into over 12 vacuum-sealed packs.

The troopers also say they noticed the pungent smell of marijuana wafting from the inside of Hu and Huang's 2006 Toyota Matrix. The two were arrested on the spot and charged with a felony count of first-degree criminal possession of marijuana. They are being held in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond. They were in court today in the town of Milan to answer the charges.
