This weekend wasn't as warm as it has been, but my family and I still made it out for a quick walk. We didn't explore as much as we usually do, because I wasn't wearing the right shoes (this was an unplanned trip to the park). I'm sure we will go back to park and do some more exploring though.

This time around we visited Lovers Leap in New Milford, CT. The park is located just up the road from another park, Harrybrooke Park, and there is a good sized parking lot for visitors to use.

We didn't travel too far into the woods on the trails, but where we did go was pretty well marked, so you knew you were still on the trail. There were lots of very tall trees and some foundations of old structures. I love parks with history, so I definitely want to explore this park in greater detail.

We walked across the bridge and looked out at the Housatonic River. The view is really beautiful and I would love to set up the tripod the next time and take a bunch of different pictures from different angles.

On the way to the bridge, there are some signs that give you a little history and other information about the park. One of the signs gives you the explanation for the name of the park.

I'm sure there will be a part two to this park. Like I said, I would really like to go back and explore the trails more. From what I saw, there are some great views.

For more information on the park you can visit the website.
