Today is a celebration of how it all began by placing a vinyl record on a turntable to hear your favorite artists. Today is national Record Store Day!

In November of 2016, Brian Gerosa celebrated an unprecedented 30 years in the record business when he opened the doors to Gerosa Records in Brookfield. Call them what you like, records, vinyl, 33rpm's,45rpm's, 78's, albums, LP's, EP's, a stack of 45's.

How about a shout-out to Thomas Alva Edison, who invented the first machine to record and play back records in 1877 and to Emile Berliner, who invented the first flat circular record in 1887. There's a list of titles only being released at independent record stores which you can find by clicking on recordstoreday.com/news.
