That day in early May when Mindy and I walk down the boat ramp at New Fairfield Town Park is one of our most favorite days of the year.

As we begin our walk down the ramp to the boat docks, we feast our eyes on what we've been dreaming about for the last six frigid months. There it is, leisurely floating in its boat slip anxiously awaiting our return. With a cooler in one hand and life jackets in the other, our 25-foot party barge, Radio Waves, seductively bobs up and down waiting for us to climb aboard. I know, that's a bit melodramatic, but it's all true. Boating season is almost back, baby!

One of the most pleasurable aspects of owning a party barge on Candlewood Lake is that you never know who you're going to meet up with.

Yes, you will see the I-95 Party Barge out on Candlewood Lake crankin' your favorite classic rock from Danbury to Sherman. They throw the anchor out at Chicken Rock while Lou personally swims from boat to boat with free I-95 swag.
