Got a Second ? Today Will Actually Be Longer Than Usual [VIDEO]

Today (Tuesday) will be exactly one second longer than Monday, as the planet's timekeepers make up for variations in the length of the day — but apart from a few apocalyptic predictions in headlines, chances are you won't even notice.

Today we all get a little extra time, more time to relax, more time to have fun, and yes even more time to sleep. But your going to have to do it all very quickly.

Tonight at 11:59 the clocks will stop.....for one second.

It's scientists way of keeping time as accurate as possible. It's called Coordinated Universal Time, or UTC.

The whole point of UTC is to allow everyone and every clock in the world to agree on what time it is.
