As most of you may know, the Grateful Dead is having a 50th anniversary/farewell concert for three nights in Chicago. Tickets to the show are currently sold out and the prices for tickets on Stub Hub are ridiculously high. For those of you who won't be attending the actual show...you're in luck!

The Ives Concert Park and i95 will be hosting a live broadcast of the first farewell show on Friday July 3. Even though the broadcast won't start until 8 PM, the doors will open at 3 PM for lots of cool activities including five live Grateful Dead Tribute bands who will perform: Red Planet, Symphonic Bodega, Father Nelson and The Backsliders, Bobby Paltauf Band, and Shakedown.

There will also be food, beverages, and exhibitors. So bring your kids, bring your lawn chairs, bring your blankets, but don't bring your own food, drinks, or coolers, because that's not allowed.

The event is scheduled to end at 1 AM. Tickets are $20 online and $25 at the door. Kids under 10 get in for free. You can buy your tickets and get the details here.

This will be a once in a lifetime experience because the Dead will never be playing again! We hope to see you there!
