Great News for Noodle Fans in Greater Danbury

Can't wait! There's a new noodle bar coming to Brookfield!

Do you remember Layla's Bakery that was located at 316 Federal Rd at the intersection of Old New Milford Rd.? Layla's closed up shop last year, but according to the NewsTimes, the good news is a noodle bar will be moving into the old Layla's later this year.

Currently, the closest noodle bar in the Danbury area is called Hunan Noodle Bar and is located in Ridgefield at 461 Main St. I'm a guy who can eat noodles all day, but I'm not driving for a half n' hour to Ridgefield to suck down a bunch of Udon noodles.

After completing some extensive research, I can tell you that the current big noodle buzz is all about a restaurant in Fairfield, New Haven, and Norwalk, called Mecha Noodle Bar, which won the distinction of being named the best in the state by Connecticut Magazine. But I'm going to wait patiently for my Shoyu Paitan when the new noodle bar opens in Brookfield later this year.
