I can't go for that -- no can do!

Sometimes in life, you discover that upscale, pricey items aren't always all they are cracked up to be. Often, I get the most compliments over an outfit that I got on the cheap. But I guess no matter where you shop, weirdness can happen. I also guess that when you shop upscale, you don't expect that weirdness to be a stinky dead thing in your clothes. Seems as if that's exactly what went down in a purchase from a shop in Greenwich Connecticut.

Nydailynews.com is reporting that a woman from New York City who shopped at Zara's in Greenwich is suing the dress shop after a rodent apparently was sewn into the lining of her dress. According to the story, Cailey Fiesel bought the dress in July, hung it in her closet, and then wore it for the first time in August. That's when all hell broke lose!

The account in nydailynews.com says Fiesel started to smell something nasty and got up to walk away from where she was, but the smell went with her. We all know that no good can come from that, and it sure didn't. Court papers in the nydailynews.com article state:

As the day went on, Ms. Fiesel started to notice what felt like a loose string from her dress rubbing against her leg. To her utter shock and disbelief, as she ran her hand over the hem of the dress she felt an unusual bulge and suddenly realized that it was not a string that was rubbing against her leg but was instead a leg rubbing against her leg. The leg of a dead rodent that is.

Fiesel is seeking unspecified damages in her lawsuit. Zara's says it is aware of the lawsuit and is investigating.

This is gross at best. My first thought though was, did the rodent get sewn into the dress, or did it make it's way in during the time she had it hanging in her closet? You have to think that's one of the questions a lawyer will ask, if it ever get's to that point.
