This news makes me so sad. Back in the day, you knew your date really liked you if you went to Cobb's Mill Inn.

Word is out that another iconic Connecticut location has closed. Not only are the views beautiful at the legendary Cobb's Mill Inn in Weston, but, to me, it was synonymous with country dining in Connecticut. When I think back to my late teens and early twenties, if a family special occasion happened at Cobb's Mill Inn, you knew you were in for a big treat. Better yet, if a date took you to Cobb's Mill Inn, you really thought he had the hots for you, big time! At least I thought so.

From the walk down to the front doors, to the waterfall views out back, the Cobb's Mill Inn holds very special memories for many of us.

Just about 2 months ago, another long time favorite dinning and entertainment spot, The Inn at Newtown, closed up. Now, according to Westportnow.com, the Cobb's Mill Inn has done the same. Drew Friedman, the most recent owner of the Cobb's Mill Inn, passed away recently, and the Inn has closed it's doors. My hope will be for some savvy person to eventually come along, and breathe new life into this great landmark.
