With the stretch of mild weather that we have been having, you had to know that it was not going to last. In fact, some dangerous weather is expected in our area tomorrow. Yes, we need the rain, but the weather forecast looks pretty bad for Tuesday night. A Hazardous Weather Outlook has been posted for Danbury and the surrounding areas.

According to the National Weather Service:

A cold front will approach the region tonight and slowly cross the area Tuesday into Wednesday. Ahead of the front, gusty winds are expectied with the potential for damaging wind gusts in any lines of convection Tuesay and Tuesday night. The slow moving front will also bring heavy rain to the region, with 2 to 3 inches of rain likely and localized swaths of 3 to 5 inches possible. This presents an areawide threat for minor urban and small stream flooding, with a localized threat for flash flooding.

For weather events such as these, it is important to make sure that anything you have outside of your home is well secured. When a strong gust of wind comes along you want to make sure that your patio umbrella doesn't take flight and land in your living room. That is something that would surely ruin anyone's day.
